Financial Wellness Incentive

Middlesex Community College is excited to help you on your way to success by providing personalized financial guidance. Completing the steps of the Financial Wellness Incentive will help you ensure to take advantage of the most financial aid grants, scholarships, and loans that you qualify for.

The Financial Wellness incentive encourages you to engage in proactive financial planning to cover the costs of attending Middlesex. Complete the steps below to ensure you are considered for the most federal and state financial aid and make set up a payment plan for the remaining balance. Upon completion of a financial plan, you can apply to receive a $25 credit toward their Fall 2021 tuition bill.

Eligibility Criteria 

You must complete these steps by the outlined deadline to qualify for tuition credit:

1.   Apply for FAFSA TODAY!

You must submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year to qualify for grants, scholarships, federal work-study, and federal student loans. The 2021-2022 FAFSA Application is now available. In order to make sure you receive the highest amount of aid that you are eligible for, submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. For priority consideration, submit your FAFSA form by May 1, 2021.

2.   Consult with a Financial Wellness Specialist (June 30, 2021)

If you have questions about completing your financial plan,  consult with a Financial Wellness Specialist. To schedule an appointment with a Financial Wellness Specialist, please email us at or call us at 781- 280-3655

3.   Provide any requested documents and resolve any issues needed to complete FAFSA process (Jul 1, 2021)

Keep an eye on your MCC email. The Financial Aid Office will contact you if they need additional documents or if your application has any issues that need to be resolved.

4.   If you were awarded Federal Student Loans, accept financial aid awards in the student portal (July 15, 2021)

Financial Aid Grants and Scholarships are automatically accepted.

To Accept or Decline your Federal Direct Student Loan 

  1. Accept your Federal Direct Student Loan on MyMCC: 
    1. Go to and sign on with your MCC User ID and password. 
    2. Under Student Records, Select: My Financial Aid 
    3. Select: My Award Information 
    4. Select: the aid year 2021-2022 
    5. Select: Submit 
    6. Select: Accept Award Offer Tab 
    7. If you were offered a Federal Direct Student Loan, select decision to Accept or Decline Award 
    8. Select: Submit Decision 

5.   Set up a payment plan if you have any estimated tuition not covered by FAFSA funds (August 30, 2021)

6.   Congratulations! You have completed your Financial Wellness Plan for Fall 2021. Submit your application to receive your $25 credit.

After completing the steps above, submit a tuition credit application. To complete this step, you will need your Student Identification Number, which is issued by Middlesex once you have applied for admission. To submit the form, please visit:
