MCC Fitness Trail
The MCC Fitness Trail, located behind Trustees’ House on the Bedford campus, is supported
by a Middlesex Community College Foundation grant through the Annual Fund. The Fitness
Trails is a two-mile series of trails winding through the woods, around a pond and
across a meadow.
The Fitness Trail consists of two loops:
The 1.25-mile loop includes 10 Fit- Trail stations that outline a series of scientifically
designed exercises at each stop. When combined with walking or jogging, this loop
can provide a well-balanced physical fitness routine for the entire body.
The shorter .75-mile walking/jogging loop, encircles the frog pond.
The Fitness Trail serves as a recreational resource for hikers, runners, skiers, snowshoers and anyone interested in birdwatching or wildlife observation. It is expected in the future to link up to the Bay Circuit Trail, a series of more than 200 miles of trails that stretches across the state of Massachusetts, from Duxbury to Plum Island.
A Fitness Trail Preservation Fund has been established by the MCC Foundation to help maintain the trail for years to come. If you would like to donate to the preservation fund, please donate online.
