MetLife Auto and Home

MetLife Auto and Home Claims Center in Lowell decided to offer all of its employees an opportunity to take a variety of courses on site that would not normally be offered by their own internal training division. They asked Middlesex Community College to design and develop several specific courses to meet their particular needs.

Working with the human resources staff at this leading national insurance and financial service firm, Middlesex created courses which could be offered to employees at all levels of experience and education. Conversational Spanish I and II, Business Writing, and Interviewing Techniques were the first courses offered.

Response was excellent. Managers, supervisors, and associates participated. During the first year, approximately 75 employees took advantage of the program, and initial feedback was very positive.

“We are enjoying our partnership with Middlesex and appreciate the fact that they handle all details for the courses they provide for our employees. The fact that they can tailor a course such as Interviewing Techniques to make it work for both supervisors who interview job applicants and claims agents who investigate details of insurance claims has been very beneficial. We are impressed with their professionalism and their commitment to client satisfaction.” - Joseph Pedi Assistant Field Claims Manager MetLife Auto and Home
