Intercollegiate vs. Intramural Teams
Intercollegiate Teams are competitive in nature. Teams have regular practices and compete against other colleges and universities throughout New England. Students are required to try out for these teams. Due to the selective nature of these teams, not all students are invited to join these teams. Previous experience is required.
Intramural Leagues are recreational, and inclusive of a variety of experience levels. Intramural teams do not hold practices but play games one night per week at UML. Previous experience is not required. Due to its popularity, spaces are limited.
Intramural Tournaments take place at their facilities. A variety of experience levels are welcome. Most tournaments welcome day-of registration and occur on a single day. Some exceptions apply.
Basketball
Each team plays four regular season games per semester and then enters a single elimination round playoff. The first season starts in October and the second season starts in January. Both seasons last about six weeks. All games are played at UMass Lowell's Campus Recreation Center at
Flag Football
Hockey

IMLeagues
Once you have made a team, register through the IMLeagues website at http://www.imleagues.com. Please DO NOT register on IMLeagues unless you have made one of MCC’s teams and been told to sign up. For more information on IMLeagues and how to register visit: IM Leagues Registration Page. There is NOT a $10 team registration fee – that is just for UML students.
