In 2022, MCC was selected from a competitive field to join a cohort of community colleges across the country by Metallica’s All Within My Hands (AWMH). Our courses are fully funded by Metallica’s foundation through the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI).

With the funding, our Corporate and Community Education and Training division:

  • Offers trainings in advanced manufacturing and electronics
  • Teaches the skills needed to enter in-demand industries
  • Helps you reach your goals and pursue your dreams

Metallica’s AWMH is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services. MSI was launched in 2019 by AWMH in partnership with the American Association of Colleges (AACC).

MCC’s AWMH programs:

  • Support low-income, underemployed and unemployed individuals
  • Offer holistic, hands-on training working with software and materials used in the field
  • Provide access to career advising, professional development, and student support services

About the All Within My Hands (AWMH) Foundation

The All Within My Hands Foundation was established in 2017 by Metallica as a means to invest in the people and places that have supported the band. It also provides a mechanism for Metallica's fans to become engaged in philanthropy and volunteerism. The foundation is focused on supporting sustainable communities through workforce education (in addition to combating hunger through an alliance with Feeding America), and is fully supported by the band, the AWMH board, and by fans. All expenses of the foundation are covered by the band, the board, and a few special friends, so that 100 percent of donations go to the organizations it supports. AWMH is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Visit the All Within My Hands Foundation site for more details about the foundation and its work.
