1-Credit Orientation Plus Courses for New Students
The First-Year Experience (FYE) seminar is a one-credit course that is designed help
new students be successful at MCC from day one. The class is offered on campus and
online and most are completed in just 2 days.
Students who attend an FYE course will be introduced to essential student success skills, learn about MCC's academic success and student support resources, get to meet other students and learn how to become involved in co-curricular activities.
The best part, students will earn college credit toward their degree for participating!
In this course you will:
- Learn essential student success skills, behaviors and habits
- Develop a personalized academic plan for your time at MCC and beyond
- Be introduced to MCC’s Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs)
- Engage with the College’s academic, student support services
- Learn how to get involved in co-curricular activities
Learn about the special sessions for students with accessibility needs, BIPOC students,
Asian Americans, First-Gen, TRIO and LGBTQ+ students!
