Elementary Education Associate and Transfer Degree
Whether you're looking to begin or advance your career—MCC is a great place to begin your future.
The Elementary Education Transfer Concentration Associate in Arts, Liberal Arts and
Sciences degree program is designed to prepare students to transfer into a bachelor's
degree program leading to teacher licensure through the MA Department of Elementary
or Secondary Education (DESE).
This program is best suited for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career
in elementary* through high school education. Graduates of the Elementary Education Transfer Concentration program transfer to a
four-year institution to continue their studies toward bachelor's and then master's
degrees. Students work with an academic planning advisor to create an individualized program
in anticipation of selecting a major at the transfer institution. Students should
check the requirements for transfer with their academic advisor.
* Students who are interested in teaching kindergarten through second grade should enroll
in the Early Childhood Education Associate and Transfer Degree.
