Part Time Wage Schedule

Purpose: The MCC Part-Time Wage Schedule applies to all part-time, non-unit, non-benefitted, employees, grant funded position included.  A hiring manager shall select from the positions and descriptions detailed below by work functions.  Any modifications to the position, description and/or rate of pay require review by Human Resources.

Maximum Hours: Shall not exceed 18.5 hours per week. The maximum allotted hours per fiscal year shall not exceed 974 hours for support, professional, and administrative staff and 1039 hours per fiscal year for Facilities support staff.

II. Facilities, Maintenance, and Transportation

Cleaner/ Housekeeping Staff

Performs janitorial/custodial tasks including vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, etc.

Electrician Assistant

Assists in the inspection, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery and equipment

HVAC Technician

Assists in the maintenance, service, installation, and repair of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems

Laborer/ General Maintenance/Landscaper

Performs manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting, moving materials and snow removal, maintenance and upkeep of College grounds, including gardening

Van/Shuttle Service Coordinator

Coordinates work of Van/Shuttle Drivers while engaging in transport of individuals to and from campuses

Van/Shuttle Driver

Operates College-owned shuttles/vans to transport individuals to and from College campuses

III. Support Staff – Entry Level

IV. Support Staff – Mid Level

V. Support Staff – Senior Level

Assists in coordination and operation of a program or department; possesses and provides specialized knowledge in a professional field; a high level of competency is expected and tasks require independent thinking and judgement; job may be complex, training required

VI. Technical Support

Assists in the preparation of labs, performs general laboratory work which may include maintaining laboratory equipment, following laboratory safety protocols and properly disposing of all hazardous wastes

Clinical Assistant

Provides support and assistance to faculty and students in a clinical setting, may require contact with patients, knowledge of clinic operations including proper instrument processing

Graphic Arts Program Assistants

Provides support and assistance to faculty and students in graphic design labs and classes

Produces, designs, and manages graphic art and visual materials both electronic and in print within Marketing & Communications Dept.

Law Center Manager

Manages the operations of the Law Center, including the Housing Mediation Program and all associated grants; possesses and provides specialized legal expertise; reviews and completes applications, monitors and prepares reports, outreach, and legal workshops
