What is Tuition Equity?

It is a new state law that allows qualifying non-U.S. citizens, including undocumented students, to be eligible for in-state tuition and qualify for state financial aid programs in Massachusetts.



Who is eligible?

You may qualify for the Tuition Equity program if you:
  • Are a non-US citizen student, including undocumented stuents – determine your qualifying status
  • Attended high school in Massachusetts for 3+ years
  • Earned a Massachusetts high school diploma or the equivalent, including GED or HiSET
  • Are admitted to a Massachusetts college or university like MCC

What if I’m already enrolled at MCC?

We’re happy you’re with us!
If you qualify, you will be refunded for the amount that exceeded in-state tuition for classes that began on or after July 1, 2023. 
 


What if I attended MCC, but didn’t graduate?

We’re excited to welcome you back! 

You'll want to re-Apply to an MCC associate degree or certificate program.
