External Scholarships
These scholarships are offered through other outside organizations and institutions. MCC students are encouraged to apply. Please use this list as a guide for additional opportunities, but please be aware that they have different applications, deadlines and criteria.
AFCEA Educational Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are primarily geared for college students who are veterans or interested
in the STEM field.
AANAPISI Scholarship
The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI)
Scholarship Program is a collaboration between APIA Scholars, AANAPISIs, and the communities
they serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity, and mobilize local
resources to help foster economic development.
The Dominguez Firm Collegiate Scholarship
The Dominguez Firm Collegiate Scholarship Award offered in the amount of $5,000 to
a student who has demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to the community.
Any student attending an accredited university is eligible. The deadline to apply
is on or before December 31st, 2023. Two college scholarships are offered every year, in July and December.
Early Childhood Educators Scholarship
Ellucian Pathways Scholarship
The Ellucian Pathways Scholarship is designed to help institutions, with guided pathways
programs, and their students with the financial support needed to help students continue
their studies. For more information on this award, visit MCC's Financial Aid Office.
Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding,
minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship
is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize
their maximum potential.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)
Since 1975, HSF has awarded more than $650 million in scholarships for more than 65,000
scholars.
Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship
Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship makes it possible
for the nation’s top community college students to complete their bachelor’s degrees
by transferring to a selective four-year college or university.
The Liberty Mutual LEADA@Liberty Scholarship
The Liberty Mutual LEADA@Liberty Scholarship is designed to offset the cost of college
for Massachusetts students who enroll in community college with the ultimate goal
of completing a degree at a state university or University of Massachusetts campus.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to four students of African-American descent
who are enrolled in the Massachusetts Commonwealth Commitment program, with each student receiving $2,500 per year for the four years of his or
her college career.
Littleton Trust Fund Commission Scholarships, Littleton, MA
The Littleton Trust Fund Commissioners have two scholarships, the FM Kimball II scholarship and the Morrison scholarship which are administered annually. These scholarships are for Littleton (MA) residents
and graduates of Littleton schools. The FM Kimball II scholarship, in particular,
encourages adult and lifetime learners who are seeking advanced studies to apply,
so in addition to the traditional high school student to two or four year college
student, there are scholarship opportunities for graduate studies, certificate and
even training programs. There is one joint application for the scholarships which
is due on April 1st .
MSCPA (Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants) Educational Foundation
Scholarship Program
Scholarships are administered by the Educational Foundation of the Massachusetts Society
of Certified Public Accountants, Inc. (MSCPA) and are available for both undergrad
and grad accounting students who are attending a college or university in Massachusetts
or attending a college or university out-of-state with a permanent address in Massachusetts.
Penney Richards Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family of Penney Richards, a 2009 Medical
Assisting graduate, and supports students employed in the health and medical field.
PTK Connect
Powered by Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of Community Colleges,
PTK Connect is open to ALL community college students attending partner institutions.
John F. Renner, P.C. Annual Scholarship
This general scholarship is designed to assist students preparing for a legal education
from an American Bar Association-accredited Juris Doctorate program.
Weiss & Paarz
A $1,000 scholarship to a student starting or continuing law school.
