The Middlesex Community College Intensive English Institute is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period April 2022 through April 2026 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. Mission Statement: Middlesex Community College’s Intensive English Institute provides rigorous English instruction and cultural training necessary for success in higher education in the United States. The IEI is committed to the goal of delivering quality evidence-based curriculum, informed by research and designed to prepare non-native speakers of English for the academic language needed for positive outcomes in pursuit of their own higher educational experiences in the U.S.A. Lab and Conference Time (for both Advanced and High-Intermediate Students):

Student success academic skills for second language speakers including supplemental instruction leadership are embedded in all of the courses: Advanced Reading, Writing, Grammar, Advanced Listening, Remembering, Note-Taking, and Advanced Conversations and Actions.
