English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Our ESOL courses are designed to be offered at your firm at a time convenient to your employees. Workplace ESOL courses are targeted to employees with varying needs to improve their communication skills. The courses are customized to incorporate material relating to a company’s products and services. As a result, participants will be better able to:
- Understand job requirements
- Communicate with their supervisors
- Communicate with fellow workers
- Take advantage of company training
- Pursue further educational and training opportunities
Course Content
- Communicating in English through the acquisition of a broader vocabulary and the use of verb tenses
- Practice in speaking and pronunciation
- Practice in writing, from filling out forms to writing memos
- Development of reading comprehension
- Company/job specific exercises developed with company supervisors and our instructors
An assessment of the participants is required before beginning ESOL training. The assessment will be conducted by a mastered and prepared Middlesex Community College provided instructor. Students will be placed in the appropriate level of training based on the assessment results.
