Health Care

Middlesex Community College has developed partnerships with several area hospitals and extended care facilities to provide on-site and on-campus training for RNs, LPNs, and hospital staff. ECCLI (Extended Care Career Ladder Initiative) and WTF (Workforce Training Fund) grants have supported the establishment of career ladders in the industry to address the ongoing challenges of the health care environment, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of healthcare for Massachusetts residents. Collaboration with Lahey Clinic enables qualified Lahey employees to attend MCC’s part-time nursing program while continuing to work at Lahey Clinic. The program offers the convenience and flexibility of taking some classes and labs on-site at Lahey’s health care education center on Lahey’s Burlington campus.

MCC’s programs have been varied and extensive. Some of our offerings include:

  • Nursing Prerequisites Courses
  • LPN Prep
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (communication skills for medical personnel)
  • Professional Development Training (Leadership Training)
  • Spanish for Medical Personnel
  • Medical Terminology
  • Math Skills for the Health Professional
