Success Scholar Program Vision and Mission
Vision:
The vision of the Success Scholars Program is to optimize students' use of college resources in collaboration with staff, faculty, and administrators to help students realize their academic, career, and financial goals. In addition, Success Scholars Program aspires to be a leader at Middlesex in developing retention initiatives and programs that help underserved students attain academic success.Â
Mission:
The Success Scholars Program is a retention centered program for Black, African American, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ students. The program is committed to empowering students to succeed and realize their full potential at Middlesex and beyond. By facilitating mentoring relationships, providing opportunities for reflection and self-examination, building personal financial wellness awareness, and teaching academic and career readiness skills, the program helps students strengthen students’ self-confidence, learn to navigate the college system, and articulate and pursue their academic and professional goals.
