Please don’t…

  • Move accessible tables and chairs located in your classroom.
  • Put overhead projectors, audio-visual equipment or other pieces of equipment on accessible tables.
  • Accept any disability related documentation from a student other than the MCC Student Accommodation Form.  Please refer the student to Student Access and Support Services.
  • Provide accommodations to a student who has not provided you with a Student Accommodation Form.
  • Accept behavior that is disruptive to the learning environment, from any student, including students with disabilities. If you have a student who is presenting with disruptive behavior, please refer the matter to the Dean of Students through the use of the Small Incident Form.

Please do…

  • Call Student Access and Support Services if you have a student in your class and you feel that they have access needs that you may not know how to accommodate.
  • Call Student Access and Support Services with questions about a student’s Accommodation Form.
  • Call Student Access and Support Services for help with any disability related issues - large or small. We are here to support the college community.
  • Include a statement in your syllabus that invites students to utilizeStudent Access and Support Services (see below).
