Mike Wallace & Chris Wallace

They flew into Lawrence Airport and their
plane landed early. When we arrived to
pick them up, Mike was just sitting on the
tarmac!
2008
·
Jay Leno
 He was so funny. In
every picture, he would put that Jay Leno
smirk/smile on. Afterwards he said, "Tell me
the truth: Did I have my picture taken with
everybody in that auditorium?" Jay is also
very generous. He and his wife, Mavis, have
contributed more than $216,000 for MCC
student scholarships.

·
Sarah Ferguson
 She was royalty,
in a way, yet very down to earth. We had
great dinner conversation.
2010
·
Ken Burns
 He had been on our
short list for a long time, but we never could
make it happen. When James Cameron
canceled, we reached out to Ken, he agreed
to come and was fabulous. We could have
listened to him all night.
2011
·
Robin Roberts
 She has this ability
to connect with an audience and relate to
people on a human level because of her
compassion and empathy.
2012
·
Michael J. Fox
 He was special.
I left his presentation feeling inspired
that somebody with such a serious illness
(Parkinson's Disease) can be so focused on
work and family, in spite of what they're
going through personally.
2013
·
Laura Bush & Jenna Bush
Hager
Laura was just as gracious and
appreciative as if she were meeting a head
of state. And Jenna did a spectacular job
of interviewing her mother.
2014
·
Robert Redford
 Oh, he was
wonderful. He was very engaged wanted
to know all about the MCC Foundation and
Nesmith House, and all about the college.
He is just very grounded.
