Student Employee Request to Post Form

  • The College no longer uses Handshake to post student positions.
  • The process outlined below, which utilizes the Student Employee Request to Post Form through Interview Exchange, has replaced the College’s utilization of Handshake to post student positions.
  • The Student Employee Request to Post Form may be filled out by any employee delegated to complete the form. This may include, but is not limited to, the hiring manager, a direct supervisor, a senior leader or an administrative assistant.
  • The following information is requested on the Student Employee Request to Post Form:
    • The title of the position, the department, the direct supervisor, and the timesheet approver.
    • The number of students needed for the role
    • The current fiscal year, the intended start and end date of the assignment, the total hours per week, the total hours per fiscal year, and the pay rate, in accordance with the Student Employee Wage Schedule.
    • The shift, the primary campus, and the building location.
  • The Student Employee Request to Post Form requires that a job description is uploaded in order to proceed with the posting request. The process allows for the utilization of a Student Job Template to provide Hiring Managers with a template for student positions.
  • Once the Student Employee Request to Post Form is completed and the job description is uploaded, the e-form is directly routed to Human Resources for posting. No additional approvers are required to be inputted into the task routing of the e-form.
  • When a candidate is chosen:
    • After the hiring manager interviews student employees and determines a finalist(s), the hiring manager completes the Recommendation Form through Interview Exchange in order for HR to begin the onboarding process.
