Professional Day
Once a year, faculty and staff gather for intensive discussion, workshops and presentations addressing a topic of shared concern and interest. Often, guest speakers focus attention and stimulate thinking on the issues being considered. A Planning Committee, drawn from MCC faculty and staff, work with the Professional Development Office to develop these programs. While not mandated in our DCE contract, part-time faculty participation is encouraged. Becoming involved in this wonderful event provides an excellent way for part-time faculty to learn about college initiatives, work on improving teaching strategies, and better connect with department faculty and staff.
